The Red Sea of Egypt is the home of hundreds of dive sites one even more beautiful than the other. It’s impossible to show them all, but here are a couple that you surely would like to dive.
RAS MOHAMED
NAME & LOCATION
In the south of the Sanai peninsula, just 12 kilometers under Sharm El Sheikh, is the first National Marine Park of Egypt. The name Ras Mohamed means head of Mohamed and it is said that this name was given because the profile of a cliff looks like a man’s head.

TIRAN
NAME & LOCATION
Located East of the Sinai Peninsula between the mainland and the Tiran Islands the Tiran Straights are found. This location is named after the islands and hold 4 famous dive sites: Gordon, Thomas, Woodhouse and Jackson.

SS THISTLEGORM – SINAI
NAME & LOCATION
East of the Sinai Peninsula, 40 kilometers from Sharm and on the edge of the Ras Mohamed National Park is where the world famous SS Thistlegorm found her final resting place.

THE BROTHER ISLANDS
NAME & LOCATION
The Brother Islands are a world famous scuba diving destination. and offer some of the best diving in Egypt and in Red Sea. These 2 Islands (Little Brother and Big Brother) are famous for their wonderful pristine coral as well as being one of the best places in Egypt to dive with Sharks!

DAEDALUS REEF
NAME & LOCATION
Daedalus is a remote outpost of a reef, less than a kilometre wide and marked by a lighthouse, some 80 km offshore from Marsa Alam. Its isolation means it is only visited by liveaboard and this, together with its marine park status, means its reefs are in top condition and it’s one of the best loved scuba dives in the Red Sea.
The Egyptian name for Daedalus Reef is Abu Kizan. Kizan” mean “pottery” as there is a Wreck at the Northern side of the reef that had a cargo of pottery. In present time the wreck is totally destroyed by waves

ELPHINSTONE
NAME & LOCATION
Located only 3-4 miles off the coastline, Elphinstone is one of the world famous dive sites of the Red Sea. She can be done by daily or speedboat, however for your comfort we advise to do her by Liveaboard.
This name was given by international marine shart. The arabic name Shagra means Blondie. If you are moored at the reef on a sunny morning, when you look at the shore, you will see a solitarily bright red mountain which is called Shagra Mountain or The Blondie Mountain.

MARSA ALAM

FURY SHOAL / SATAYA
LOCATION
The Fury Shoals a.k.a. Sataya make up several reefs along the Southwest Red Sea coast, offering amazing scuba diving opportunities with some of the most pristine reefs in Egypt. The hard and soft coral are unspoiled and are a highlight of many dive sites.
A very famous dive site in The Fury Shoals is called the Dolphin Reef (Sha’ab Sataya). A pod of Dolphins is living there and can be often spotted while scuba diving or Snorkeling.

SAINT JOHNS
NAME & LOCATION
The St. John’s reefs lie directly south of the Peninsula (Ras) Banas, near Hamata and close to the Sudanese border. It covers an area of sea of roughly 290 km² and has a great diversity of diving environments. Healthy reefs, wall diving, drift diving and caverns come to mind.

ROCKY & ZABARGAD
NAME & LOCATION
As the most southerly of Egypt’s Red Sea dive destinations, not many divers make it to Zabargad and Rocky Island. Those who do, often say this is the best diving in the Red Sea.
the name rocky comes from the rocky island structure above water. Ands Zabargad is named after the emerald that used to be mined there.
