The SS Thistlegorm had a single prop and a big one at that. The diver gives you an idea of its size. A machine gun mounted on the stern of the SS Thistlegorm. A bit skittish but great fun to check out with her black bandit mask looking like she came straight out of a cartoon. The gold dotted flatworm moves quite fast and can even be found swimming in the daytime. The chromodiris that looks lots like its cousin but lacking the rings around the yellow dots. Cousin of the banded snake-eel we have here a spotted version. A banded snake-eel that is often mistaken for the poisonous banded sea snake. Usually swimminglike it needs to catch a train along reef walls hunting for fish and often seen in small groups. This is the bluefin trevali. a section of the famous Ghannis D at Abu Nuhas Reef. The funnel with the ‘D’ of the famous Ghannis D at Abu Nuhas Reef. The railing of the famous Ghannis D at Abu Nuhas Reef. These are the overgrown supports of the main deck of the famous Carnetic that sunk in the last quarter of the 19th century at Abu Nuhas. The remains of a wreck filled with marine life at small Gubal Island, known as The Barge.
